COVID-19 Update: March 16, 2020

The health and safety of my clients, your families, my colleagues and myself remain my top priority. I am closely following the public health recommendations of the Center for Disease Control, The World Health Organization and state government recommendations regarding COVID-19. I will be contacting each client on my schedule to determine whether we need to move to video conferencing or a phone call for our sessions for the time being. If you are sick, have a fever or cough, have recently traveled by plane or have a family member who is ill, I am asking that you refrain from coming into the office for 14 days. I commit to doing the same. I sense that this upcoming week may be the last week I do in person sessions for a period of time. I am committed to caring for you and we will work to transition to a phone or video conferencing session in the coming weeks so that we all reduce exposure and seek to remain healthy. Know that I am committed to best practices during this time of uncertainty. When it is necessary for sessions to be in person, please know we are taking extra care to wipe down door knobs, chairs and are removing magazines from our waiting room for the time being.

There is more! You were made to live life to its fullest and to experience greater joy, freedom and redemption.

Please know that you are brave and courageous for taking this first step to begin the journey toward healing and hope.  The name for New Song Counseling Services comes from Psalm 40:2-3 -"He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the Lord."   Do you desire to be lifted out of the mud and mire and to sing a new song?

Perhaps we can partner together in this next phase of your journey. Inviting  a counselor into your life story is an important decision.
